Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my little page. My name is Tanmayi, and I am a self-taught freelance photographer. I work full-time as a resource management planner at a private consultancy, but aside from the typical 9-5 job, I allocate my weekends (and sometimes weekday evenings!) to my love of photography.
A little about me:  I moved to New Zealand from India with my family back in 2012 at 14 years old. I was blown away by the picturesque landscapes of New Zealand, even just from the glimpses we got from the window seat of the flight as we flew into Christchurch. This was when a little itch within me began that pushed me to learn photography so I could capture what I saw to show to my family and friends back in India - at least I tried to! I really don't think any picture can do justice to New Zealand's beauty and I believe I am not the only one that thinks so.

When I was about 18, a close friend asked me if I would be keen to photograph her grandfather's 90th birthday party. I said yes straight away and didn't want to charge them since I was still a beginner-level photographer. However, my friend's parents were so kind and generous that they paid me a modest fee and that's the story of how I first earned some money through photography. From here, any gigs I scored were through friends, their parents, and just good old word of mouth.  Many of the shoots I do presently are still due to connections, but I am hoping that this website and other social media networks can help me reach a wider community.
Hopefully, this gives you a little snippet about me. Please get in touch if you think I can be of any assistance to you!
